“我希望有五名婦產科醫生，但他們總是不滿意，”梅諾總裁吳喬良說。目前，他依靠廖的30人團隊來滿足需求。在少數民族兒童的日子裏，他們每月接生162名嬰兒，創記錄的200名，比醫療中心還多。
當你來到門農醫院的候診室時，你總能看到父母帶兩三個孩子去接種疫苗。吳邦國說，台灣在早期並不重視婦女的生殖安全。在梅諾醫院建立之前，一群傳教士和醫務人員開著一輛改裝的美國軍用卡車，載著藥物、罐頭和牛奶進入花東部落，以照顧母嬰健康。他們是台灣醫學史上第一批走山走水的專業人士。
